Hobbs and Fontaine

Zack (Zachariah?) Hobbs b. March 4, 1843; d. Feb 17, 1908.  Grave is in small cemetery in Breckinridge County.  Take state route 333 west toward Four Corners.   About a mile before Four Corners turn right on George Hamilton Road.  The cemetery is about a mile back George Hamilton Road on the right.  Look for it behind a cattle corral.  His great-grandson Eddie Hobbs remembers the old folks saying Zack was a blacksmith.  Zack lived near south-west corner of the Jesse Stith property.   (see old Jesse Stith deed). (Also remembered by Tommy Hobbs as living near a spring near the south-west corner of the Jesse Stith property.)
